The Quest for Elixir de Amor
The Quest for Elixir de Amor began as a dream born over twenty years ago, envisioned by the owner of this corner of paradise. After a long search, he discovered this sacred, unique, and incomparable place. He fell deeply in love with its magic, its spirituality, and its breathtaking natural landscape—so much so that he decided to purchase the land and protect it.
Over the years, the dream expanded, opening the doors of this land to local residents and to all those who love and respect nature. It became a sanctuary where people could find peace, embark on a personal journey, and cultivate a deep emotional connection with nature and with themselves.

Even before Elixir de Amor took shape—back when there was not even a path to reach this place—the owner placed a statue on the mountain’s summit with a special dedication. It was meant to welcome visitors and bear witness, should it ever be needed, to the belief that love is the alphabet with which the universe was written.
The statue also holds a heartfelt message of gratitude to the beautiful land of Costa Rica and to the owner’s parents, who had the joy of discovering and loving this extraordinary country, which reveals itself here in its purest form.

Today, that same statue atop the mountain has become a pilgrimage destination. Every year, on the day of the Virgin, people arrive from near and far—a moving testament that fills our hearts with joy and purpose.
Dream Mender
In 2022, the owner met Giselle—a veterinarian and traveler who, at the age of 14, made the decision to dedicate her life to nature conservation and social projects. It was a meeting of dreams, values, principles, and a deep love for nature and humanity.
From that encounter, the Elixir de Amor Nature Reserve was born, marking the beginning of a story we are eager to share with each of you. This is our story at Elixir de Amor, and now we invite you to arrive—whether alone or with those you love—so that you too may create your own story here, live an experience unlike any other, and carry love into every corner of planet Earth.
I, Giselle, am infinitely grateful to Mikele for being a Dream Mender. He mended my dream and the dreams of many others he has met and connected with in life, allowing the roots of Elixir de Amor to flourish with heart and soul.
